I have 1 unread chat message, which I can't remove... help!
I have already tried to fix it with steamcommunity.com/chat but it seems it doesn't work. Also tried to write back and add him. Didn't work too. :/ When I open the steam chat on browser there's no new message or so. I just see that flashy green mail icon on Steam. On browser and desktop app as well. I have no other idea how to fix that...

just happened to me, send a message to the person whom you might have recieved the message from. worked for me

I did, didn't work. And as I said. I just see the email icon there. When i click on it there's no one to send a message to. :/

Do you have this person blocked? Un-block them, open the link above and then re-block the user once again, if you want.
