Deleting old usernames

is there any way to delete usernames/handles you've previously used with your account? i'm referring to the dropdown menu that appears next to your current handle. "this user has also played as...". i'd rather my old handles not be associated with my account at all, but there doesn't seem to be any way to remove them or set them as private.

Thats the thing about history: It happened. Theres no erasing it.
Speakimlng of, even if you overwrite the history, itll still be there. There are numerous third-party sites scraping and logging Steam profiles. And they keep more past entries.

You arent able to wipe your history.

The only thing you can do is change your name around 10 times, so the dropdown will show the 'fake names'. You can just use dots or numbers, ie. "1...", "2..."though it would look suspicious to anyone wanting to befriend / trade with you.
I personally would just let them stay.

do you mean that if i change my name 10 times, name 11 onwards will vanish? or does it just mean if someone views my profile they will have to scroll down past name 10?

Steam will only show the previous 10. Names 11 and older are not displayed on your profile.

Yes you can, you can ask support to do it just as I did. (They are still view able on 3rd party site, but they will be gone on Steam drop down list).
