how to fix lost steam connection

Did you see an error message, such as "content servers unreachable" or "Steam needs a network connection...." or similar ?

What made you know your connection was lost ? Details, please.

Also, are you using a router or other wireless hardware in your connection ?

i play dota 2. steam working well. but when dota 2 opened, i cant play this game due to have a message "lost steam connection". i've already try resolve issue based on one of youtube content advice but still not working

Sounds like a server connection issue, and if so, maybe try a different server if available.

The error message you posted sounds more like a server lost connection error message.

If you can launch the game from your Steam library, but only lose connection when trying to connect to a server, look around in the game forum and see if you can find any solutions or check out the support page linked above, please.
