How to remove a steam key

Hey,

I've got a steam key as a birthday present. I entered the key without knowing what it was and it turns out that I already own the game. Is there any way to "unuse" the key so that my friends might get a refund or could give the key to someone else?

How can I contact support? I can't find any form or e-mail address.
