Ctrl+Alt+Del > Start task manager > processes > (click on the game e.g. steam.exe*32, chrome.exe) > End process
that should stop the game from running and give you the ability to open it
i tried to do it but in the task manager there is not a process of star wars battlefront, i can keep launching it but the process doesn't appear
Try checking the description part and try to see if theres one related to star wars battlefront
i found the process, closed it but nothing changed. now if i press play on the game , steam says that it is running , but after a few second appears that is no more running and i can click again on play with the same results
Games do not run after 'Preparing to Launch'

Make sure any security software such as antivirus is ignoring Steam and games in real time, as well as any children of such processes. You can see what is actually running on your computer at times by using the msconfig process from Windows Start (apps in Windows 10).
i looked at the guide and i don't think to have installed programs that may interfere with steam. i don't think visual studio code is a problem. I have installed all the updates and the antivirus (windows defender) firewall doesn't block steam. But for wifi i have a pre installed app that is killer control center but opening it i didn't find anything about steam.
If that is what you mean there, that's a know issue with Steam and games and has been for a long time here.
So yes, you do have problamatic software if you have that. Feel free to use the forum search and see for yourself.
EDIT..It's recommended to totally uninstall that and have the latest Killer Driver only for the device, and not the Suite.
i uninstalled "killer control center" (that was its name on the list of programs) but after restarting the pc nothing changed. i'm looking my installed programs but i can't find anything else that may block steam :/
Now i will give a look in the forums by the way, to see if there are other users that have problems on the same pc
EDIT dell support assist or dell command update may be a problem? i read in another thread but i would like a confirmation before unistalling
Here is a list of all my programs, if you want to give a look

Peer-to-Peer (P2P) Clients & File Sharing Software
P2P programs have the potential to consume a large portion of your bandwidth or other system resources if not properly configured. This can prevent connections or traffic that Steam depends on, while also interfering with resources required by games. It is not recommended to have file sharing applications active while you are using Steam.

And I see Intel Graphics Driver processes possibly being an issue also. Multiple GPU drivers on the same system can possibly cause conflicts. This can be an issue in Windows 10 when it automatically updates drivers, which I personally dislike. I don't think you posted you full system specs yet, but if you have a dedicated GPU, that also can be an issue.
Thanks for the shots, but what we need are msconfig screenshots, please.
---Click Windows Start and type in msconfig and run that resulting process. Go to the services tab and check the box on bottom "Hide all Microsoft services". Take screenshots of all that is left.
---Then go to the startup tab on top of that same window (Task Manager in W10). Expand the header on the left so we can best see the process name (small window, so do the best you can). Take screenshots of all that there also. Don't forget to scroll down if needed and get everything in the shots, please.
On my oldest laptop i had utorrent installed and i never had a problem, that's why i didn't think about it, by the way here are the screen of what you asked:

about the gpu, on my pc i have a intel uhd grapics 620, and you said that there are multiple drivers, i have to uninstall it removing all the drivers and then install the latest driver?
(thanks a lot for your patience, you're a really kind person :) )
Since you don't have a dedicated GPU, you can ignore that. I don't really see much else there in the msconfig shots that should be an issue.
On the other computer, if uTorrent was somehow set to not run on boot, that could explain the difference. uTorrent has been seen to cause issues with Steam and/or games.
After resolving all software conflicts, verify the game files for a game that will run on that GPU and on your system otherwise, and then test the game.

Make sure you test a game that meets the specs for this computer, please. Pick something easy. By now, we should have the full system specs of the computer, honeslty.
"Help" in the top of Steam. System information. Right click, select all, copy and paste it here.
I checked the utorrent setting and was setted to not run on system boot. For sure i totally removed utorrent and then downloaded faster than light (it's a 300 mb so really light) but the problem is the same.
here are the system specs:

Thanks. I have taken out some of the more important information here above.
I see some pretty new driver updates for it, so make sure the system drivers and OS are fully up to date.

Now, as far as this computer and games, as you said in the OP, it's not really going to play very intensive games. The GPU is pretty low spec, and the CPU is also pretty low spec, but it should play Star Wars Battlefront 2 :
OS: Windows 2000, XP, Vista, 8, or 10
Processor: Intel Pentium 4 1.5 GHz or Athlon XP 1500+
Memory: 256 MB
Graphics: 64MB 3d Graphics card with Vertex Shader and Pixel Shader (VS/PS) Capability
DirectX®: 9.0c
Hard Drive: 4.3 GB
Sound: 100% DirectX 9.0c compatible Sound Card
Since you have made some changes there, I suggest you reinstall DirectX and also go to the game folder for Star Wars BattleFront 2 and find any folders that have Redist. packages in them. If you see them, run them directly from those files in that folder (redistX86, redistX64).
If something negatively affects the first time setup of Steam games, when you first launch them, these might not install properly and so you need to be sure all that is installed. I don't see any other software that "should" be a conflict anymore, so verify the game files and then run the redist. packages and DirectX installation also.
Reply if that helps, if you wish.
it's crazy, i updated the graphic card, then went in the star wars game folder and found directx and redistx86 and 64, and installed all of them. then did a reboot of the pc but nothing changed... It's like my pc simply doesn't want me to play steam games. Few weeks ago i tried to install uplay (the ubisoft game client, a have few games there) just to see if was a steam related or a pc problem. I downloaded a game (rainbow six siege), and it started without problems(obviously was in ultra low settings and 20fps, but at least was running)
Really don't know what to do, but appreciated your help
