Issues regarding a gift refund
I was gifted a game that I can't play because I don't have the system requirements. I got the gift yesterday. So I initiated a refund and it was denied because the gift giver bought it more than two weeks ago. He had no way to know I didn't have the system requirements. Are we just screwed or is there some kind of appeal we can make?

Then it does not qualify for the refund.

Refunds on Gifts

Unredeemed gifts may be refunded within the standard 14-day/two-hour refund period. Redeemed gifts may be refunded under the same conditions if the gift recipient initiates the refund. Funds used to purchase the gift will be returned to the original purchaser.

EDIT.............................

Two options :

1. Keep the game and eventually you will have a computer that meets the specs for the game. It will just stay on your account until you do.

2. If you have redeemed the gift, follow what this user said in the quote of this post, as closely in the help menu as you can, and make it short and to the point and nicely explain the issue with the gift, but do not get your hopes up.........

Did the giver get this on Steam ? I was unaware that gifts could be saved to inventory on accounts anymore, and thus must be given immediately upon purchase.

Nevermind, sorry. Sounds like they might have scheduled it for later delivery.
