Charged full price for an item on sale
Just bought a DLC for IL-2, it's on sale at this very moment, yet was charged full price.

Requested a refund but in general worried that this is a thing. Very uncool.

Ok NOW it's not on sale anymore, wow.

Way to go Steam: first updating the actual amount charged and only then the displayed price.

Sale has ended 20 minutes ago. The shop display is lagging behind, but you should have gotten the correct number when checking out.

Refund the item, buy again in winter sale.

It told you during checkout what you were paying.

Adding it to the cart before the sale ended and not completing the purchase until after it ended showed you a warning that the price changed.

Yes I guess I should have double checked, but I insist something should be done about it, this is VERY lousy practice to have the shop lag behind the actual sale. Accidental purchases will be made.

BTW it still displayed the discounted amount when in the cart, there was no warning. Only the payment screen showed a different amount but I clicked past that by habit because usually it's the cart screen that shows pricing changes

Not if you're paying attention to what's on your screen.

Pay attention to the cart and the warning and/or price listed in the cart.

Nothing was wrong except you waited until the last minute to purchase something that was on sale for 6 days.

Upon final checkout it told you.

Don't. I had TWO screens display the discounted sum. The last screen, which was the payment method, is where I noticed the difference but alas I already clicked. I had two confirmation screens show me a discounted amount. This is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥

again, there was no warning in the cart. none. NONE.
The cart displayed the discounted amount. And what do you mean wait? I just saw there was a discount and made a purchase

Aside from the big warning you ignored informing you that the price changed between your adding it to the cart and checkout, and your option to refund the item, and the fact that every store page directly says when the sale ends, what more would you like Steam to do for cases like this where someone adds an item to their cart, and then buys it after the sale ends?

You ask me to pay attention but pay zero to what I write:

THERE
WAS
NO
WARNING
IN
THE
CART

And neither is there a warning about the time when the sale ends. Look yourself.

As we are talking about a display error, there is no actual price change involved, and therefor this warning message won't show up. It would only come in, if the item was put in the cart, when the sale was still up.

If the wrong numbers persist even in the cart and only get corrected at checkout, things are really going badly.

That's because the first page displayed the price wrong.

You should've still seen the correct price from the second page onwards,

You're not helping by being in stupid denial.
I've been using Steam for 10 years.
I know how this warning looks.
