Selling on my Steam Game
Lots of talk about this saying that it's not possible to transfer a Steam game to another account. However, I notice that for each game in my library, when I go to Support (RHS), there is an option to "I want to permanently remove this game from my account".
It also says "should you repurchase this game in the future, you will not receive a different CD key."

This suggests that the licence is removed from my account and that the same CD Key can be used again on another account.

I've not tried it yet, but does anyone know if this is true?

No it doesn't

Because when you enter these keys in your steam account, they are BOUND forever. If you remove a game activated with one of these keys, the key becomes HIDDEN, not inactive or removed. At a later time you can restore (unhide) theses games (along with activation key)

So no, once you register a key to your account, it can NEVER be used for anything else again, except for partly proving ownership on your account if you ever lost access to your account.

No. It's not true.

It hides the game from your library not remove the license from your account or make the key useable again.

You can still recover the game the same way you removed it.

I don't see how that is suggested.

"you will not receive a different CD key" means you do not get a new key for the game. This is because it is permanently attatched to your account.

Also, you have the option to restore the game, if you wish to do so as well. So the game is not fully removed.

I should say that that I'm talking about games I've bought separately e.g. Amazon and so have a disc and CD key, but then activated it on Steam. I didn't purchase and then download the game on Steam.
Does that make any difference?

No difference

No, it does not. Once activated it's permanently bound to your account. Even if you decide to remove the game from your library.

No. Once the key inside is used, it is forever locked to your account. And cannot be sold, traded, moved or gifted.
