Should i install .NET Framework 3.5 even if i already have the 4.7 version?

Hi guys, i'm so confused about this since some games that i installed asked for .NET framework 3.5 installation even though the one that i already owned is the 4.7. So, is the 4.7 the latest version of this or it has a different function from the 3.5?

It would be in other words an update so yes, it would be wise to install it since newer games will eventually rely on it.

Despite the shared name, they are different parts to the similar software. 4.x doesn't contain everything needed for older games, so the 3.5 also needs to be installed for use with those game and/or software.
