Steam Guard issue on Chrome after password change
After I changed my Steam password everytime I try to login using Google Chrome it keeps saying my Steam Guard code is incorrect.

I did not logout before I changed my password in hopes it would keep me logged in.
I have tried clearing cookies from both Steam store and Steam community.
I tried loading the login page again with ctrl+F5.
I could login once using the Steam openID interface rather than normal login but that wont work anymore.

I don't have this issue in other web browser or in the Steam client itself.

I know that clearing full cache from Chrome probably fixes this but I am too lazy to type full website address again to most frequent websites I visit.

Anyone know the reason for this or any fixes other than fully clearing the cache of the whole web browser?

Have you tried to gain access using the self recovery menu from the self-help system ?

You have saved passwords.

Clear them for the Steam domain and check again.

"How do I get a new Steam Guard code?"

Via email - Exit Steam and log back into your account. This will generate a new verification email.

Via phone - The Mobile Authenticator will automatically generate a new code every 30 seconds.

Always ensure that you enter the most recent code sent or generated - older codes will not work!

I can login everywhere but in Chrome web browser.

I never save passwords to web browsers and I manually typed in the login details, which were accepted - the issue is with the Steam Guard being rejected even if it's the correct code and works in Steam client, Firefox, Edge, etc..
The author of this thread has indicated that this post answers the original topic.

Then some plugin may be causing the issue.

Yep, also as the support page by the good Bear above says as well as what the good Robin3sk said, it must be a plugin/extension causing the issue from Chrome.

Forgot about that support page. Thanks, Bear.

It turned out to be a Chrome browser extension after all.
Just bad timing that I changed my password just as the issue started it seems.

If anyone else is having trouble with this disable Browsing Protection by F-Secure extension.

Probably a process or update that coincided with the password change. Good job figuring it out, and thanks for the update to the thread to let everyone know.

Happy to hear that you managed to sort out the issue.

Some plugins tend to be problematic, as in, they affect some logins.
