Those products can still be used however, you can still use an iPhone 3 with whatever software was available, no? You can still use Safari and call people on an iPhone 3. There's a difference between a service being unsupported (meaning it can still be used) and being permanently stopped (like what valve is doing). I wouldn't be writing this if I would be capable of still playing my games on Windows Vista, I would be happy running an older version of Steam to play these games. Go back to school you spoiled, "educated" 17-year-old. Maybe educate me in 30 years.
it is in fact you who are acting spoiled and uneducated. look at your argument..
have a flag on the house :)
I just find it rather funny that you're pretending you know about technology, but I can clearly outsmart you in everything. How about you go back to school. Because it's clear you know nothing about modern day computing.
"Uneducated" how? I've made a valid point. As for spoiled I would disagree, I've been working almost 5 days a week ever since I was 21. Unlike 17-year-old William here who has a PS3, Xbox 360, Xbox One, Wii, GameCube, two PCs and a laptop.
Note that upgrading your o/s may stop some of your games from working. I read on the microsoft site that the 64-bit version of Win 10 home doesn't have legacy 32-bit support.
1. "But you have to use certain apps with a specific IOS, some apps support this and some support that. So Safari would just be using an older version." - Just read over that a few times, it doesn't make sense - I would be fine with using an old safari as long as I can still access the internet
2. "Just to play some stupid game that can be downloaded via disk or a crack online?" - I don't want to partake in illegal activities, I'm not sure why you're on the internet condoning illegal activity either.
3. "How about you go back to school. Because it's clear you know nothing about modern day computing." - I have a degree in Computer Architecture and a Masters in Networking and Systems Administration.
Do you think I would still be able to contact the Federal Trade Commission if I'm in another country?
Most games are 32bit; so you info is complete non-sense.
32bit games work on Win10 just like they do on Win7/8
There's no valid reason for it not to be supported.
Why should it? It's like buying a car, using it for 20 years and then having your perfectly good car taken away from you for no reason.
There's no valid reason for them stopping support.
Makes sense to me because I wrote Windows apps for 10 years. Here is some info -
https://www.techsupportalert.com/content/how-windows7-vista64-support-32bit-applications.htm
You still have the car and the games. You just can't drive the car without meeting current emission standards, and you can't play the games without being on a properly supported OS.
2. LICENSES ⏶
A. General Content and Services License
For reasons that include, without limitation, system security, stability, and multiplayer interoperability, Steam may need to automatically update, pre-load, create new versions of or otherwise enhance the Content and Services and accordingly, the system requirements to use the Content and Services may change over time. You consent to such automatic updating. You understand that this Agreement (including applicable Subscription Terms) does not entitle you to future updates, new versions or other enhancements of the Content and Services associated with a particular Subscription, although Valve may choose to provide such updates, etc. in its sole discretion.
So the "system requirements to use the Content and Services" are going to change, as some operating systems will no longer be supported. This is what you agreed to when you made your Steam account, and each time you made a purchase along the way all throughout your use of Steam.
