Multiple accounts 1 email
alright, so I'll ask here since I'm not sure what to do with this...this is my account, I've been using it for years...I don't remember ever making any other account.
(I'm not 100% sure...maybe I did a long time ago for some strange reason? doubt it...but my issue makes me wonder)

Now that this is said, I've been receiving steam guard codes for an OTHER account for years now..the account name is something that I've used in other place...but, again, don't recall ever using on steam. It says there are connections attempts from all around the world. Also, all the emails for THAT account are in English, while my main account (this one) receive emails in French (since that's my first language).

That, the fact that I don't recall ever creating that account, and that I don't even know if you CAN have more than one account per email, led me to ignore those emails, I don't dare clicking on the support links from those email to try to solve the issue, however legit they may look. It's however become a problem now, as the spam makes other, legit and important, emails disappear in the sea of steam mails...I can't block the sender, it really seems to be steam support's email.

So here's basically what I'd like to know:

- Can you have more than 1 account attached to your email?
- What do you think I should do?

Are you sure these are official Steam emails ?

Yes, you can have as many accounts as you like, all using the same emial address as you like.

We have seen a LOT of cases here, where users are sure they never made another account. And in most of those cases, turns out they did make another account and forgot about it.

Yeah, I'm mostly sure, they come from the same address.

And of course, I'm assuming that I probably made that account and forgot about it, this wouldn't surprise me, but, because of that lapse in memory, I've hesitated to do anything about it.

But if we can have multiple accounts per email...I guess it would be strange to send me a virus using the wrong account name...thanks.

Edit: Logged in to it, last logged in 10 years ago...0 games, no clue why I made that....

If you are sure the Steam emails are legit (please be very sure), then I would suggest maybe changing the password on that account. If you want to just delete the account, you can do that also.

But that is permanent, so make sure before you decide.
