ARK: Accidentally disabled gamepad (SOLVED)
Hi guys, so I play Ark with a controller, and whenever i pause the game a "disbale gamepad" option comes up. i accidentally hit this option while trying to get into another option. After I hit the button it disappeared. Does anyone know how to reactivate it? i cant figure it out.
I play with a wired Xbox 360 controller if that helps.
ANd please no "Play with akeyboard lol" responses... I play singleplayer and prefer my controller. I have searched and can't find how to fix this. thanks.

IDK how I fixed it but I did. It fixed itself when I downloaded Extinction. And no, it was not reactivating when I pressed a button on it, or unplugged and replugged it back in. It just fixed itself. Oh well...

Unplug and then plug it back in. Because, that's how it always worked back in the day with a gamecube!

But really, try unpluging it and plugging it back in. It might try to register again. If not the only thing you can do is restart the game everytime.

Or click options only with your mouse.

I have the opposite problem, I play mouse+keyboard but if I leave my Xbox 360 controller plugged in, the thing often activates on its own if I accidentally press a button while moving around and then I have to open the menu to deactivate it. Maybe that's what you are missing, pressing any button on the controller?

I have no idea what exactly you mean, If i press another button my Xbox controller, it automatically re-activates :/
Odd that it doesn't for you, what type of controller is it? official Xbox one or some shady fake brand?

the game switch to gamepad controls as soon as you use it again automatically
Hey Silverwolf ive just encountered the same problem you had back in november. its thrustrating the hell out of me as i play using keyboard during the day so deactivated the controller so it wouldnt get in the and when i get lazy just swap to my gamepad. Only to find its unusable.
Can you tell me how you solved it ?
Tried unplugging it.
Restarting the Game.
