If the games just close, that can be caused by software that is conflicting with the games, as I said above. Make sure any antivirus or security processes (firewalls) are ignoring Steam and games in real-time scanning/exceptions allowed.
There can be other programs also that can cause this, not just security programs. Run msconfig from Windows and see what's running all the time on your computer.
1. Take screenshots of all of the programs you have installed on your computer. Control panel then programs/programs and features. (Windows 7,8,8.1) or "apps" (Windows 10 click "Start" (Windows icon on bottom left))
2. Click Windows Start and type in msconfig and run that resulting process. Go to the services tab and check the box on bottom "Hide all Microsoft services". Take screenshots of all that is left.
3. Then go to the startup tab on top of that same window (Task Manager in W10). Take screenshots of all that there also. Don't forget to scroll down if needed and get everything in the shots, please.
Post all the links to the above screenshots here, using a file hosting site such as imgur.com, which is free to use.
Norton is one of the worst antivirus programs to use with Steam.
And even if you disable Norton itself, that "Norton WSC Service" will surely still run in the background.
You have alot of those Intel Management processes running also, including Intel Management and Security. It's a "security" process, so it might be causing a conflict.
You have to research what that process does, before you disable it. Use Google and the manufacturer's website and tools to search, if needed.
But Norton is surely a high suspect to your issues. Feel free to forum search for "Norton" and you can see for yourself, if you wish.
You did not supply all of the screenshots.
EDIT..........
Also, you have Intel Graphics and Control Panel running there in processes. You have an Nvidia GPU, so you don't need that Intel process maybe causing a conflict.
Multiple GPU drivers on the same machine can cause issues. Disable the Intel GPU and go on your Nvidia GPU only.
