I have not received my steam refund even after refunding was said to be complete.
I refunded the game “monster hunter world.” In my steam refunding it says it refunded my money. No my credit card is not wrong. I have not received my money so far other then 4 dollars from my steam account. Let me go into more detail. I bought the game with steam account money and credit card money. So what’s the big deal? I should have received my money? I did, but only four dollars! The game is 60 bucks! I am missing 56 dollars! And to prove my case I have pictures of all of the purchases and so on. I would like to get ahold of steam and get this over with! Yet there is no option in steam support for this! I need this money back. It has been 5 days so far “maybe 6” I will see if I receive it within 8 - 9 days. If someone could send me someway to contact steam them self’s or their support, please do send me this. Thanks for reading this and helping as much as you can.

If $56 was from the credit card, it can take up to 10 buisness days (for international accounts) before it is reflected on the account.

This isn't an issue with Steam but with the speed of banks.

Also, if it was refunded the same day, it may not show as a purchse. The charge may simply be removed from the bank/credit account.

I would want to speak with someone to be sure the entire amount was refunded, too. You can choose any of the support options. Not all of them get to the point where you can write a message that gets replied to by a human but some of them do such as any valve game selection usually, eventually, gets to that point and most of the account area support selections do too.

Valve isn't in the practice of ripping people off.

You would probably get a faster relief by calling the customer service line for the card you used for the purchase and ask if they can see any pending transactions. They can usually see deposits before it shows where the customer can see it. The customer service for the card would also be able to accurately explain what the delay is.

Nobody here is an official Valve employee that has any control over anything, aRandoBirb. We are all users just like you are. The orange names you see are forum moderators. They are volunteers, not paid, and have no control over the financial system.

Call your bank as I suggested and see if they can see a pending transaction.
Go through the Help section until you reach a point that allows you to type a message that produces a human reply, no matter how you get to that point. It's there you just have to go through and choose the right options. What options you choose doesn't matter too much, just explain to them that you used the one you used because you couldn't find one that fit that allowed you to reach them.

How quickly after the purchase did you request the refund? If it was within ~24 hours then they simply don't finalize the transaction with the credit card merchant and the temporary authorization just disappears.

Don’t get me wrong I love steam but this is kind of ridiculous and the fact that they have no actual customer support is really annoying too not even some automated ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ to go through this is just stupid and kind of lousy on their part I get it the money takes a while to process you got a deal with banks as well but don’t say it’s completed if it’s not completed

It may be completed on their end. If that's the case it's the card or bank the money came from delaying the balance from being updated. It's not a 10 day wait period for processing refunds for every bank and every card. My AMEX card takes up to 30 days to process refunds and change the balance available.

Check with the card's customer support.

Your post doesn't say whether this happened a week ago, 20 minutes ago, or in another dimension.

Did you buy the game and then within 24 hours of that purchase, refund it?

If so, the money never left your account in the first place. If not, you need to check your cards, bank, wallet fund status, and Support. That's all that can help you - patience and reading carefully.
