Fps capped at my refresh rate
So basically I got a new gaming laptop for my birthday and every time I play a game the fps is capped. I tried overclocking the laptops monitor to 75hz but it didn't fix the problem I then hooked the laptop to another monitor and the fps cap was gone. But I don't want to use the monitor I hooked it up to due to high input delay it has like 15ms delay its so delayed. I had got a fix to go to windows powershell and type something I forget it worked but as soon as I rebooted my pc the fps cap was back. I don't know how to fix this i've seen other people with this issue too.

Pc Specs:
Gtx 1050ti 4gb
I7 7700hq (2.80ghz)
12gb of ram 2400mhz

Turn off Vsync in the game or the Nvidia Control Panel.

Two other possibilities.

Check your power options and ensure as there may be a limit there and turn off G-Sync if enabled.

Those are the last two things I can think of. Other then that, contact the make of the laptop and ask then directly.

I removed the fps cap on the power options on nvidia but how do you disable gsync?

You can disable G-Sync by going into the Nvidia Control Panel and literally clicking the "Disable G-Sync" button. I get about 6 1/2 hours of battery life with it off on 25% screen brightness.

Nvidia Control Panel -> Setup G-Sync -> Uncheck the box that says "Enable G-Sync"

Here's a link to what it looks like in the menu: http://imgur.com/a/xPsyP

I only get 3 options in the nvidia control panel, "Adjust image settings with preview" "Manage 3D settings" and "set physX configuration

When I used the other monitor all of the other settings popped up.

Reinstall your drivers.

https://www.nvidia.com/download/index.aspx

And ensure that Nvidia is set as the primary video card.

There is an option in the install process for a clean install. That will uninstall the current drivers and then install the newer ones.
