Steam doesn't ask me for 3-digit code.

Hey guys when I buy a game on a browser, Stean asks me the 3-digit vode but when I use the client it doesn't ask me the 3-digit code.

Why????

I've had it ask me on the client a few times. Seems kind of random when it asks. Probebly the same with the browser as well.

But they should ask us for it all the time or anyone could buy stuff from my account

They would need you log-in and password, as well as authenticator, to do that.

Probably because it is stored in the client?

It only asks for it when it is not stored and when it randomly wants to when stored.

You leave it logged in, while also allowing other people to access your machine?

First thing I do is log out of everything before anyone can touch my system. When I am not using it, I lock it so no one else can access it with out the password.
