100+fps doesn't feel smooth
as the title says,i was playing minecraft (yes i know) with mods,i use 30+ mods.i'm glad that my laptop is still able to handle those mods.and most of the time i get 100+fps,sometimes it drops down but it'll get up again.but for some reason this 100+ fps doesn't feel smooth.perhaps any of you who happens to be a computer expert can help me?

laptop specs (in case it's needed):

ram 16gb
64-bit
i7-7700hq
gtx 1050
refresh rate: 60 hertz

thanks in advance

Smooth in display or smooth in movement? Assumimg its the display and display only, limit your frame rate. A high but jittery frame rate is, i dare to say, objectively worse than a lower constant frame rate.

It doesn't matter how much for you get. Your display only refreshes 60 times a second...

This...

Also, it is a modded game. So there is that. For help with modded Steam games, you can post in that game's forum. Right click that game in your library and select "view forum".

Which will be hard considering Minecraft can not be bought on Steam and does not have a discussion hub.

I actually wondered about that, but assumed (wrongfully perhaps) that he or she was talking about one of the Story mode games. But they maybe just said "Minecraft" in short. So I made sure to say "Steam games" in my reply, to cover both possibilities. :steamhappy:
