is steamdatabase safe?
i just toke from there hitman 2 epizode for free (which is currently free on steam and steamdatabase) so my question is my steam acc won't get hacked? thanks

You mean this? https://steamdb.info/app/439890/ they show a dlc for a game that is free, no need to own the main game.

Steamdb is safe, it's just a list of all the things on Steam. That link (steam://install/439890) is just a Steam link to tell the application to do something. It's the same thing you see if you click "play game" on a store page for a game you already own.

If so overall they seem to be alright guys
But trusted or not, why do you fear for your account? you don't need to log in there (give your password) at any point (sign-in with Steam is not login on there site, but on Steam site) and you don't download any file from it
So where is the issue?

That link has a page that just adds a free game/dlc thing to your account without asking, it might seem a big weird.
Steam links are a bit weird, a page could just get you to own a game if you click a link. Any page could add them.
They should add a confirmation thing. "this will add hitman ep2 to your Steam account, is this what you wanted?".

It downloads it, sure. But you still can't play ep 2 until you pay for it, correct?

It should make the DLC show up and the "game" if you didnt have it before.
It is supposed to be free to keep for 48h, might be 24ish hours left. free if you get it before april 3rd. (keep forever)

No. St most, they can access your public profile information, but I'm not sure they got such a function in the first place.
