"Failed to initialize Direct3D", but only for one game

I've tried everything that I can think of but have hit a dead end.
I'm trying to run the game "The Fall", but every time I try to run it I get the following message:

"Failed to initialize Direct3D.
Make sure you have at least DirectX 9.0c installed, have drivers for your
graphics card and have not disabled 3D acceleration
in display settings.
InitializeEngineGraphics failed"

This is the only game of mine that gives me this error.
I have uninstalled and reinstalled it with no change. I have made sure both my Windows 10 and graphics cards are up to date.
Direct3D Acceleration is enabled.

At this point, I'm stuck for what to do. Any insight would be appreciated!

What's your GPU?I had a simmilar issue and it was because my GPU(graphics card)was old and only supported up to DX9 and I might have a solution either way but it's probably gonna be laggy

The internal GPU is Intel HD Graphics 630. I also have an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050.
I'm sure it's not the GPU being old that's the issue, as I purchased this laptop recently, in August 2017 haha

This user had a long thread on that error and also had multiple GPU drivers in the same PC.

The drivers for two different GPUs can sometimes conflict (Intel vs. Nvidia)

I don't know if anyone has found a solution to this, cause i sure haven't... I'm still having this error.. Just glad I can play a few games :D

I found the perfect solution.. Back up everything and wipe the PC clean and It;s fixed :D It really sucks but thats the best fix. Something is corrupted in the DirectX

I tried that also and that didn't help either.. Dont know if it will for this person. The #1 best soultion to fix the error is to completly reset the PC. It sucks and nobody ever wants to do it, but it will most likely have to be done. I know I didn't want to when it happened to me adn i tried everything to fix it and only resetting fixed the issue.
