Appeal Refund Decision
Valve Manageme:nt / Decision Makers:

I bought GTA 4 yesterday & played for 3 hours. Today, it does not run due to an infinte loading screen sequence; which I now discover is a known issue. I have spent much of the day trying all the commandline.txt launch options and none of them work. The game is unplayable.

I am over the 2 hour limit (I want to play the game) but you sold me a pup! No warnings that there are known issues with the game and I may not be able to play it after the first run.

Twice you have refused me a refund - and it's barely 24 hours since I bought it. This is very poor support and needs someone to look beyond the black & white of policy and look at what is "fair and reasonable" - 30 GBP for 3 hours play and no support is not fair or reasonable.

At best, you lose my custom and at worst; you encourage piracy. Nobody wants to burn cash in this manner.

Please review my refund requests at a more senior level; where the grey areas of the policy can be better understood.

It's 2 hours - in the policy.

No, this isn't how this game works. While it's true that some games are notorious crashers, if it works once, then it works. If it doesn't work again, it's not because the game's limited to one run (not even EA would do that). That means that somehting wrong on your end. Go to the game forum and ask people there for troubleshooting help.

It was reviewed twice. Both times it was denied. And they have also refunded many people who fell outside the refund rules.

Have no policy - people will find ways to not like it

Can never make them happy

Only support can make such decisions, so making a thread like this is not likely to get to them.

I suggest submitting a support ticket.
