How do I show a friend a game they would like on steam?
I often see games in my que that I know someone specific on my friends list would enjoy, or multiplayer games I'd ONLY buy if my friends where also playing, how do I tag that game as something they should check out?

I know I can share it on social media, or just email a URL, but is there any simple way to tag it so it will show up as a notification in their steam client saying something like:

"UserX has tagged 'GameTitle' as something you'd enjoy"

Or for multiplayer co-op:

"UserX is intrested in purchasing 'GameTitle', does this sound like something you're interested in?"

My friends and I spend hours trying finding games to play when we get together and it's hard to keep track of the hundreds of games we've considered playing as a group, usually we just wishlist it and go though our lists when we hang out, but it's getting hard to remeber of all the games and weather or not the group previously rejected as an option.

Really, having a list of MP games my friends don't want to buy would also be helpful, but that might be realisticly too pro-consumer to be offered by modern day Valve.

Considering how many games these days use social leveraging to try to convince others to buy games they personally play I'm suprised steam doen't have a built in way to bully or "poke" your frinds into buying games you enjoy.

If you just want to show them a game in the store, you should be able to copy the URL in the top left (must be set as visible in Steam settings) and you can send them that in a chat message or even on their profile comments.

Hello,

A Steam Curator can recommend games to people who choose to follow them. If you like reviewing and recommending games, Steam Curators is probably for you.

Learn more about Steam Curators here:

Hope this helps.

Their personal store preferences and discovery queue will display if not the same but similar results if they use the same settings that you do - so you can share those settings with them.

There's no feature to recommend a game to them but sending them a URL to the game's store-page is what's used by many.

Right click the store page, "Copy page URL" and paste it to him in chat or on his profile.
