Email From "noreply@steampowered.com" SCAM?
so basically, the email is saying it has come to steam's attention that i am trying to sell my account (Which i am not).

Also i notice lower down in the email a different font is used when explaining that once i confirm my account the investigation will be dropped.

Any ideas anyone?

sounds like a scam. steam would simply lock the account and have you contact them to recover it.

check the full headers to see where that email came from

yeah thats what confused me, the email it was sent from was noreply@steampowered.com

But i have also looked at my discussions and posts to see if anyone has tampered with my account and nothing has been touched

email can be spoofed. you need to look at the full header for the email, which would have IP's and routing information in it.

check the HELP section for your email service, they will have directions on how to see the full headers.

If it's something like

Something BAD happend to your account!
Log in via this link immediately!!! or you will lose it.

it's a scam.
Never ever use log-in links from email. Always go through a browser and manually type in the linkk to your platform or use bookmark/history entry you know is the right one.

Also carefully check grammer and spelling. "Steam's attention" is already a big question mark in my book.

Contact steam support. noreply addresses mean that you're not meant to reply directly to the email anyway.

Do not click any of the links in the email.

thanks guys, and yeah the red light for me was the fact that they used multiple different fonts where they where not needed

Keep in mind that Valve will never "ask" you anything regarding your account. They'll just do it.
