trouble with saves and family sharing
Me and a friend are sharing our game libraries. we did some research and it seems to save that saves should not be transferred and we should be able to play the games n our own files, without sharing our progress with each other or having to delete the others progress. however this hasnt been the case. immediately upon opening the first two games, they both already had her saves.
i have tried enabling and disabling the cloud. we've reinstalled and uninstalled but i always get her saves no matter what. this goes for all her games and not just one.
(ex: oneshot, papers please, Fran bow)
we are playing on two separate computers and i have checked and double checked all my folders to see if her saves somehow made it onto my comp but nothing.
I have deleted all users that arent mine from user data, and delted the ap data for the apps in question to no avail.
is this supposed to happen?
can i fix this?

Well it's called Steam LIBRARY sharing. Only one of you can play games in the library (ex. if I start CS:GO on my computer, the same copy shared to my friend will close). You guys are basically using the same library so it's no surprise that you get each other's save files. Sales would drop dramatically if they let people play shared games individually.

except thats not how steam advertises it.

"Steam Family Library Sharing allows family members and their guests to play one another's games while earning their own Steam achievements and saving their own game progress to the Steam Cloud. It's all enabled by authorizing shared computers and users."

I'm going to ask the dumb question because it has needed asked before:

Are you each using your own accounts, or are you actually logging into each others accounts?

we are using our own accounts , on separate computers, on seperate networks :)
even took the added step of deleting all her account information from my steam files (as she has logged into her steam on my computer before)

A lot of games do share the same in game stats and characters.

aren't those the games though that don't use the steam cloud? as all these ones do. plus its every single game in her library which is having this issue, unelss coincidentally none of them will do what they want but i feel as if that would be a lil odd. (theres ten in her library i believe)
