Is there any way to contact Steam Support for general questions?
I would like to report and discuss about market bots.
"Report Violation button on profile page" and "report a scammer in Steam Support" seem to be no good at all, making me feel Steam doesn't care about market bots. :steamsad:

There is a thing that fits your question on the support site and you might have found it if you tried clicking the buttons.

I remember before 2017, Steam Support really had a ticket submitting form and Steam employees DID answer. Now they only person-to-person answer for questions of Steam Store purchases.

Too many unneeded tickets clogged the system.

Now we have support that doesn't take 7 days or more to get an answer since they aren't drowning in ticket responding to questions that are already answered in the support articles. It's kind of nice.

Also these forums are here for a reason, you should ask here what you want to know from valve. Can't hurt right?

This...

People kept asking support for things that support did not need to be bothered with , and some had to wait weeks for help where support was needed. The new system helps to limit and/or prevent that, OP.

I want Valve to ban Steam Community Market bot/script accounts, but I can't find a way to report them.

First, there is a "Report Violation" button on accounts' profiles, but the only seems "legit" category is "Suspected Cheater". And, this way does/will not result anything and let me know what's going on. Moreover, I can't be sure the profiles are really the bot/script only based on suspecting from market page's small profile image and account name.

Second, there is a "Report a Scammer" category in Steam Support page, but scammer does not seems right to report market bots. I tried some times with this way, but what this page only says is "You will be informed when any action is taken to this account." Plus, this method seems not counted as a ticket, so It's not displayed in my Support history.

That's why I would like to find any way to contact a real Valve employee, and know what they are doing on this matter.
The author of this topic has marked a post as the answer to their question.

I do not care the new Support system is good or not. I only want to know what Valve is doing. Does any Valve employee look this forum?

They almost never post here. If they look or not, is anyone's guess. If they decide to take action against an account, they are not obligated to report what that action is, although I think they do that for cheating in some games where the cheater was reported. Not 100% sure on that.

Ohh, how did I miss this button? I will try this problem with this form now. Thank you very much, Forcen!

Look, yes probably. Post? Not really. They might see it and but maybe not with this title. Consider making a post on the suggestion forum with the suggested new report option.
