How to download after purchase
I'm new to Steam, and am very technologically challenged- so forgive me. I've downloaded the Steam app and purchased some games.....and now I can't seem to download them in order to play them? Everything I've searched for says that there should be a download button when I look at my library, but it's not appearing on my tablet app or Chrome on my phone. Help!

So just to make sure, when you say the Steam app, you are not using a browser to view your library, right ?

You have to use the Steam client :

As far as I am aware, you can only install games from the desktop Steam client, not the browser or mobile versions.

I buy my games online Steam through pay pal.., once its completed I see install remotely. accept and agree click on the install remotely takes you to Steam client library and that game is installing.
If you donot wish to install atm just go to your library the new game is grayed out in your library uninstalled.
Where you would see PLAY instead it says install when that game is highlighted.

That's unfortunate, because I don't have a desktop.

The way you replied here, I have to ask, what about a laptop ? You said you purchased some games, so surely you have access to a computer that will play them, unless they are mobile only games, of which I don't know much about, sorry.

EDIT...Sorry, I see you said "tablet" in the OP.

Can I log onto a computer that's not my own, download the games, and then play the games on my tablet?

No, I only have a tablet and a phone. I downloaded these games (Jackbox TV) because a friend of mine had them on his tablet, and we could play while traveling.

There is a way to do that, but it requires transferring the files. The tablet would have to meet the minimum requirements in hardware and operating system to play the games.

The requirements for games are on each store page. If you are not sure if the tablet meets them, you can ask here and we can try to help, but you might need to be on the tablet so we can have the information that is needed.

Thanks for everyone's comments! Turns out my tablet isn't compatible with the games that I purchased :(

No, the games are for Windows, Mac, and/or Linux systems only.

To run games on Steam you need the Steam Client installed on the system you are running them on.
