2 CS:GO server on one PC with different ports: Only one ist visible in the server browser
Hallo,

i have the following problem:
I set up 2 cs:go servers on one physical windows pc with different ports and no vm. They both run side by side with their own separate installation folder.

Server 1: Port 27015
Server 2: Port 27115
The windows firewall is turned off.

Now if i try to find both servers in the server browsers LAN section, then i only see server 1, but not server 2.

Both servers have the same configuration but different hostnames.

If i change the ports to:

Server 1: Port 27115
Server 2: Port 27015

then i only see Server 2. It doesn't matter if i use 27115 or another port except 27015. Only 27015 is visible in the server browser.

Does anyone have an idea why the server behaves like this? And what i've probably done wrong?

Thank you very much. Sry for my not perfect english.

Do the servers not need 2 ports each? and did you open the ports in your firewall? To check what ports each server is using run a cmd prompt in admin mode and do "netstat -ano" you will need to find CS:go's PID in your taskmanager.
TCP: 27015-27030,27036-27037.
UDP: 4380,27000-27031,27036.

Oh and your port is out of the specified ranges.

what about the router or isp firewall, but you only explan this seen from local node, and maybe its that you only want ?

its your network setup we other cant see it. and above post already point out see requirements for one get that up and running then disable it and try with other both should run at same range separeted so you do know each actual work then change range so get both to run.

this should proof both actual did work as standalone and it work with 1, rest is just see more and more. and you did eliminated bad install or other factor that sometimes happends.

thank you both for your reply!

@TheSkunkyMonk what second port do you mean? later at home i will test the netstat command.

@Iceira for the beginning i only care of Lan availability.

i already tried the following:
when i set up Server 1 with port 27015 everything works perfect and i see the server in the server browser (LAN) an can connect. If i now change the port to any other port ( i tried 27016, 27025, 27035, 27115 and so on) the server is not visible anymore but i can connect via console.
In this test Server 2 was shut down.

In sum: everything works, i can connect and play and so on. The only thing that does not work is, that i can not see the server in the serverbrowser (LAN) if the port is not 27015.

thank you very much.

Alot of games use two ports, one to announce the service and one to play the game not to sure about CS:GO. Check in the Steam Server Browser to see if they show up there as well, never know might be a limitation of Lan mode only allowing one instance.

yeah and who know maybe only 1 server at each pc , this is not linux server, or maybe virtual pc per image it could have been hardcoded into the .exe and was never ment to be multi access per pc.
