Steam account creating Captcha is broken
I am trying to make a new steam account
I solved the captchas correclty over and over and it kept saying prove ur humanity
then after a couple it tries it gave me 'There was a problem creating your Steam account, please try again later. whats the deal ? how ccan i create a new account'

Why is the steam CAPTCHA system literally still broken... I spent days trying to get into my account and reset my password for me it finally worked by (sheer luck a fluke??) going through my phone #. But it just sticks you in an endless loop. Tried on steam desktop, mobile, and 2 browsers. Then to pour salt on the wound you can't even contact ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ steam support because you can't log into your account. So because they have no phone support or as I could find active ways to contact them without your account you're just kinda ♥♥♥♥♥♥.

If you run into this error try the phone recovery system hope you have it set up and hope that captcha randomly goes through. Really really disappointing for something like that to still be broken for a system like steam.

As already answered in this thread, it's because they use a fork of Chrome and it seems to be a bug when people with Chrome (or other Chrome based stuff, which can be a lot of things these days, especially OTHER game publishers' platforms) and plugins.

In other words, you're wrongly assuming it's a steam issue, because in all likelihood from the evidence we';ve witnessed on here, it does seem to be largely (if not all) down to plugins people employ on their Chrome setups.


And again, the solution was made clear too - try other browsers. Edge seems to be the easiest and quickest.

Yeah, I understand that a few of the other game companies also use Chrome for their UIs, so it's not surprising.

i had the problem in every browser UNTIL I INSTALLED A NEW UPDATE of firefox
So the problem maybe be in caching the browsers rely on. Try cleaning the cache, try re-installing your browser

Well done steam. I can actually completely understand why AAA companies have moved to EPIC Games. Cause one can not even create and account on Steam anymore. This is typically what happens when you think you are still the big d@ck in gaming platforms. I have always been an advocate for Steam and refused to use EPIC. But I actually hope EPIC destroys you. I have been trying for 3 hours on numerous browsers to create an account for my son. And to no avail. I am very sad to say goodbye to Steam, but you guys are worthless. useless and have become arguibly one of the most incompetent gaming platform on the market.

Having exactly the same problem. Been trying for hours but the capcacht just doesn't ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ work. Even it shows a green check mark whenever I press next it tells me to do capcacha again. WTF STEAM!!!!
