How to move the entire steam application without messing up my computer.
I recently bought a new hard drive for my PC so I could play games. Not to long ago, steam froze and I decided to straight up uninstall it. Doing so deleted 75% of the things on my desktop and make my first hard drive almost full. It's like the previous steam was not uninstalled but just became invisible. I know how to move my games over to a new drive. But I can only do so with two of my games because I don't have enough room in my C Drive to install the currently uninstalled games. And yes, I've tried moving the uninstalled games over, and no, it does not allow me. I'd like to do this as clean as I can. And I would like to not punch a hole through my monitor. Thank you.

I see you said you know how to move them, but just in case that might help some. I personally would just do it as I suggested in the first post. If space is an issue, you can even omit some of the games when moving them, but you need to also leave that game's .acf file out of the steamapps folder if you do that.

Because Steam will see the game folder as missing if the .acf is still present, and try to redownload that game automatically.

More can be explained on that is you are interested.

Save your steamapps folder(s), as then you can restore them once you get Steam reinstalled.

If you uninstall Steam without doing so, that also uninstalls all your games.
