Or at least don't confirm the trade till you've been paid. Then if they have their Steam app, they can instantly accept the trade.

He's asking about selling a game to someone he knows in the real world for real world cash in his hand. Kinda hard to get scammed as long as he doesn't confirm the trade till after he's been paid.
Also, it sounds like the game in question is an old gift copy of the game that's sitting in his inventory. So it's up to him who he gives it to.
Sorry, I did not get that vibe.
The thread title says "irl cash" (In real life cash). If that's what he's doing it should be fine, as long as he doesn't confirm the trade till he's got the cash in his hand.
But thank you for your input :-)
People can go first and still scam you. Never heard of a chargeback I guess?
Depends on the game, removed games, especially old ones can command hundreds of dollars each.
99.9% of removed games are worth very little because all the inventory of unsold keys can still be redeemed.
Even if the service says you can't do a chargeback you can still do a charge back directly from your credit card.
It's your account, selling for RL money puts your entire steam account at risk and breaks their TOS.
You most likely won't get banned, but you could also theoretically lose your entire steam account over it.
