HyperX quadcast
I’m having issues with other people hearing the tv background noise thru my stream and my hyperx quadcast, I am wondering if anyone has any fixes or anyone struggling with the same problem? I turned the noise gate on so it is not a problem when I’m quiet but when I start talking the background noise comes thru as well. Help would be appreciated, thanks.

The gate will open when you speak allowing other noise to come through.

You could try lowering the gain on the mic and that might help but if you have alot of background noise then it will come through when you speak regardless.

The gate is for preventing background noise from coming through when you're not speaking.

This is probably going to be the same with most mics.

I have a Blue Yeti Pro and i have a software Gate in place. I use a program called VoiceMeeter.[www.vb-audio.com]

If i have background noise, it will not pass through the gate because its usually not loud enough to get through it. But when i speak, any background noise loud enough for my mic to pickup will come through though only when i speak.

That mic is a really good mic. I would recommend push to talk instead of a refund. Though the choice is yours.

Well no matter what mic you buy, your gonna end up with the same problem sadly.
true, usually headsets with the built in mic dont have that problem so i will stick with that

They can help but you will get alot less quality.

They are not as open as a studio mic is so they will not allow alot of the background noise in though if you have alot of it, for example if your in the lounge with a tv going and people talking then there is no way of stopping that noise from coming through.
The mic your using is a condensed mic its not dynamic
Easy fix.

#1. Turn off tv in background.
#2. Push to talk.

There you go.

Eliminate the noise and nobody will complain about it.

There is also a expensive fixes like sound proofing your location, but that takes lots of money. As i said, just turn the tv off in the background, then you will not have any background noise.
