Steam Says I have Only 4 Games But I have well around 7

I am trying to earn the steam game badges for xp but steam is not registering my other games. Would anyone know if games that costed money count only or do all games count?

You own 4 paid games. F2P titles don't count unless you own the premium portion of the product.

Only paid games count, yes. Free to play games do not. If the game is given away on Steam for a limited time, it should still count.

If the game was removed from Steam due to the developer getting banned on Steam, then those games will not count, even if added previously.

Also, while still somewhat effective at extremely low counts, game count is generally useless for Steam XP. Badges are the only thing that works.

Mine went up when I added Age of Wonder III.

I've heard that said about trading cards, but am not sure myself. I can understand it it was through.

Steam should REALLY add a marker to each game, to tell people whether it's included in their game count or not :-) That would clear up these questions once and for all...

Extra bonus, they could add a text explaining why a game wasn't included in the game count. That would pre-emptively eliminate all the questions that would come up soon after the marker was added...

... or they could just go back to the obvious system where all games except for F2P are counted, because people really don't care how many of their games they could still buy in the Steam store. They want to know how many games they have on Steam, period :-)

It's listed on the store page of the games that don't count, F2P games excepted. So no, it doesn't clear up the questions.

I know that when Divide by Sheep was on 100% discount, that the game counter got a +1, but that there was a message on the store page that trading card drops were disabled for the versions given out during that time.
My Divide by Sheep says "no drops remaining" on the Badge page.
