" FRIENDS NETWORK UNREACHABLE " problem

What does this mean and how can i fix this ?
There it says
" This failure may indicate that your local network is offline or that the Steam Friends servers are currently offline. "
even tho when i look on my friends list i can see every one online/in a game
This apears when i want to open the " friends and chat " section.



Yesterday i had the same problem but i fixed it instantly after an " log out " and then an " log in" but this time it doesent work.
What can i do ?

Same here, ASIA, its been like this for me for 2 days already.. Sometimes Im able to log in then most of the time, I cant...

I found the reason. If you have instaled Epic Games Launcher you will have problems with friend list's. Only uninstal Epic Games Luncher can help on that for now.

FOUND SOLUTION FOR MYSELF
if nothing is helping - exit steam, right click on steam desktop icon, open file location, delete EVERYTHING exept for "steamapps" and "Steam" (the launcher itself). REMEMBER TO SAVE ALL THE SCREENSHOTS YOU NEED SOMEWHERE ON YOUR PC. after that open steam, wait for update install, if your network still not working, keep clicking on TRY TO RECONNECT button or restart steam. you might need to reinstall your games later (not sure). It helped me after i tried everything. if i helped you, leave your thanks in my profile pls.
UPD: i also have "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\Steam.exe" -nofriendsui -nochatui in properties. dont know if it still has its influence. but to do that - right click on your desktop steam icon, properties, in "target:" you ll see "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\Steam.exe", change it for "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\Steam.exe" -nofriendsui -nochatui
UPD: Before this i reinstalled steam. maybe it wasnt necessary.

But why is this happening so frequently? I'm having this "friends network unreachable" issue 3 days in a row now. Yes, after hour or so it's back to normal, but still it's annoying when this is happening so often... Not to mention I'm also getting so much "502 bad gateway" errors when I want to load new page on steam (on both of my devices - PC and smartphone).

Maybe its not only because of Epic Launcher maybe some other programme

True ish. Just close the launcher. No need to uninstall. It worked for me. Steam working fine now.
