Skyrim Special Edition wont launch after pressing play at the main menu but steam says its running????

I went to run my Skyrim Special Edition and after the inital startup and i hit play nothing happens? Steam says the game is running and so does task manager but there is no sound and i cant play the game? Does anyone know how to fix this if so please help! i have reinstalled the game multiple times i have looked up countless solutions but to no avail so again if anyone knows whats going on let me know! Thank you! Oh and i already tried merging the games files and that didnt work...

looking at other forums they said to merge the local files of skyrim and i followed the video guied and directions.

Merge the files with what other files ? That is what I am curious about.

yes I had mods installed sorry and i just looked at it and its the local game files in the properies tab on the game

For a modded game, you have to post in the Skyrim SE forum.

We can only help if the game installation is totally vanilla, you understand. Those in the game forum will be able to help you much better if you have mods currently installed.

well i didnt use nexus i just used the mods tab when you ran the game so i will still need to head to the Skyrim SE forum? also yea i gotcha i understand
