2MB/s downloading on Steam. 8MB/s on speedtest

I'm getting 2MB/s downloading on Steam and it's absolutely horrible games are taking FOREVER to update/install and it wasn't always like this, the issue has only presented itself recently. In comparison, I'm getting 8MB/s consistently on speedtest so my question is this: Is anybody else experiencing awful download speeds on steam right now?

If not and it's just me, what's happening to my speed when downloading recently compared to my consistent speed test results?

Can you link to your Speetest results please?

Typicaly it is due to Speedtest showing speeds in Mb (megabits), while Steam shows downloads in MB (megabytes). It takes 8 Mb to make one MB.

Give this a try. I was starting at 5.9 MB/s and within a minute I couldn't get above 1 MB/s. This was even after changing download regions and restarting steam. I was looking at my computer processes and for some reason, I decided to kill One Drive. Well, I am back to 5.9 MB/s again. Hope this helps. If it doesn't help, try looking for anything that is downloading or uploading. I thought it very strange that an upload would kill my download speed. I just checked my speeds again and still at 5.9 MB/s.
