Trade Hold for Cancelling Trade
I was in a server on tf2 with a guy and I wanted to buy his coniver's Kunai, we went through the trade but he wouldn't confirm which left my scrap in limbo. I cancelled all trades, not receiving any notifcations that it would put a cool down on my accpunt and now I can't trade for 7 days. IS there a way to get rid of this? I hate how many saftey precautions steam has put into it's service, if you change a password or pretty much anything now you get a trade ban. It's like every 2 weeks we gotta add another security level to the service that nobody asked for.

It can be frustrating, but all the safety measures are there to secure your account.
To your question, no you cannot bypass the trade cooldown. Your best option is to use the Steam Mobile Authenticator which will allow for instant trades.
Recently Cancelled An Accepted Trade
If you choose to cancel any of your accepted trades that are in a trade hold, your account will be restricted from trading for 7 days for your protection.

For more information on holds and the Mobile Authenticator:

There is a warning. You must not have read it.

Clicking on cancel puts up a pop up window that you have to "agree to" or "disagree to" in order to proceed.

I don't WANT the extra security, I remember when we didn't even need an email confirmation to trade and that was fine with me. Why can't it be optional? ( not to assume you know the answer)

They tried that.
"I'll disable this because I'm smart enough to keep my items safe." A few days later, "Help! I got hacked because I downloaded a strange file that a stranger sent me! It's all Valve's fault! Gimme my stuff back and undo everything the hacker did, it's not my fault!"

Oh we know the answer, as that has been discussed here probably hundreds of times. It is not just about your security or lack of, but protection for the business that is Valve, as well as other users that may be affected if your account is hijacked.

I'm not saying remove authenticator even, I just hate hold times.

I understand, but in the event of something going wrong with your account these measures will give you time to investigate and prevent items from leaving your account.

If you trade with a Steam friend, that you have been friends with for over a year, the holds are only one day. So you have that option, too.

That is a seperate issue. You don't have trade "holds" right now. You have a trading and market restriction.

Because you did not heed the warning message.

I wouldn't have had to cancel if it wasn't for the "Nice Man" on the other end who wouldn't authenticate.

I would not suggest posting that type of language here, and you cancelling a trade is not our fault.

Nothing is going to change that. It's time to just accept how this works, please.

Authenticator, or accept that you will have up to 15 days trade holds.

There was no need to cancel then. Give the other person some time to accept the trade, don't expect them to accept instantly.
