code vein - Question: Hide annoying mouse pointer
Hey, I have a question/problem:

i bought code vein and think the game is really good so far
Only I have a little annoying problem.

every time i open the menu or talk to the people in the base and want to buy/sell something, the mouse pointer is shown in the middle of the screen
and even if i move it to the edge or into the corner, the next time i call the menu, the mouse pointer jumps back into the middle of the screen, but that's only when calling the menu or so, when playing "normal" the mouse pointer is not visible
this is a bit annoying because i play with an xbox controller and don't really need it

does anyone know how i can hide/disable the mouse pointer completely?
i already tried everything with the windows settings and it didn't help, even a "mousehide"-program didn't work.

thank you in advance

i have an alienware notebook and use windows 10

Play in standard full screen not in borderless. It helped in my case.

doesn't hide it completely. it likes to re-appear from time to time

I am playing in borderless, with a controller, and mouse cursor only shows when the game loaded, stays hidden after that.

I would check controller config, maybe there are some custom bindings for mouse there for some reason

Figured it out. The game detects both mouse AND keyboard input. To get rid of this issue, you need to unplug both your mouse and keyboard while playing the game. Unplug, mind you, turning them off doesn't fix it.
Ridiculous that a AAA game needs janky-ass fixes like this, but hope this fixes your problem.

I used a just-as-weird method to 'hide' the mouse pointer while playing in Borderless. It doesn't really hide it, just cause it to not reset into the middle of the screen as I played.

One thing I realised is that the game still detects controller input even if I'm alt-tabbing out to browse the internet. While alt-tabbed, the mouse pointer doesn't reset itself in-game.

So what I did was, while playing in Borderless, I alt-tabbed and dragged a window to the corner of the screen, leaving only a tiny corner poking out from the edge of the screen corner. I then kept the mouse on that (focused) window and just played the game with the controller. It doesn't reset the mouse as long as I don't 'refocus' on the game.

Yeah well maybe i did something wrong but that doesn't seem to work anymore maybe they patched it....
Leaving it on another monitor or even with the overlapping window it doesn't matter it sometimes works but it is after 5min at best back in the center
