There are probably websites that talk about TF2 trading and FAQ's about it online.
For now, just do some reselling on backpack.tf over a span of few days and you should make some profit.
If you REALLY want to get in, you'll probably want to buy around 10 - 20 keys. Now unfortunately, that's not cheap if you dont have an IRL job. That's about $37.35 off the Mann Co Store. I would advise you get them off Marketplace.tf using the promo code "uncle" to get one of them free and the rest of them cheap.
After that, you can potentially nab a cheap Unusual and try to work your way up. But it's hard. REALLY hard to make profit these days with everything so settled.
tl:dr
You'll need to spend irl money to even TRY to start making a profit, and even then it will be a difficult uphill battle.
thanks to that method I discovered I never needed to spend a penny on this game
