Also, are you sure your PayPal isn't linked to your credit card?
the purchase history only mentions the paypal charge, and yes the card is linked, but the full price of the purchase was deducted from the paypal wallet. it's essentially charging me twice
yeah thinking the same - He purchused through PP and PP got the balance to cover the transaction then from the CC.
You might try asking specifically Paypal support, to see your transaction histories.
Because it may not have actually 'cleared'.
This is a Paypal issue, not a Steam issue. If you specifically asked Steam to use paypal and it COULDN'T, that's the only reason this would have happened - unless you mis-clicked, and instead THINK you were using paypal for it.
Dispute one of the charge, best would be the CC charge.
Go to your CC company website, pull up your transaction history, dispute the duplicate charge.
Do both, and follow all instructions PayPal and your credit card company give give you.
Your issue is with PayPal. It sounds like they had a processing error.
Not a good idea. If the charge to Steam is disputed, the account will be locked from adding game or making any purchases. This can be for a few weeks (4 or 6, can't recall) to permanent if the chargeback is not reversed.
If you click on the game in you support section, there should be an option to contact support about the purchase. You can explain the issue there.
I suggest checking with Paypal first and make sure Paypal didn't charge the credit card for the purchase.
Steam won't charge both forms of payment for a transaction.
Works the same for me, except that there's no "credit card" involved: Steam gets the money from PayPal, and PayPal fetches the money from my bank account.
Depends on how it is set up on PayPal.
I suggest calming down and checking our suggestions. Getting mad is not going to help figure out where the issue is, let alone get it resolved.
