in my case, i want to play Phantasy Star Online 2 through Steam, i know any other method like using 3rd party software to avoid using Microsoft Store BS, but i'm sure anyone will prefer play from Steam if it's available (except The Elder Scrolls Online and some problematic EA Games), the sad thing is the games isn't available for my country (i can play PSO2 JP without any need of proxy or VPN anymore tho), why i want to play the US version is i have my own reason for that, so this geo-restrictions is BS, even MS Store let you change region freely
i don't use it for buying games with cheaper price, i just want to "buy" free to play games which absurdly geo-restricted, if Steam want to prevent VPN Jumper, just strict the payment methods with Credit Cards, or remove currency conversion for Steam Wallet (can only be used in original country u bought from), and PayPal can only be used if it's connected to bank account, this will prevent those jumper but won't affect people like me who just want to add free to play games to my lib

Well actually, it definitely is a possible issue. I am sat here having issues switching steam store, by their described methods, and steam support is being little to no help at all. It's basic logic 101. Claims ALWAYS stand on their own merits, and the person asserting a claim ALWAYS has the burden of proof.
The thing you seem to be misssing isn't it isn't rude just because you don't like the answer. The fact remains these are DISCUSSION pages. They're for EVERY member of the community, both the people directly posting here, the lurkers and future readers with problems.
So myths cannot be allowed to propogate and if someone's going to make weird assertions, they're going to need to demonstrate evidence. If it's true and they can, then it's all good.
