May I ask, why are you refunding so many games ?
This time it was ARK i bought it, tried it and it crashed like 2-3 times in the first 20 minutes then when i actually got the game to work tried different settings and the game was stuttering badly even though fps counter gives me 80fps on 1440p so i couldn't bare this performance issue and refunded to buy something else.
I suggest you get help troubleshooting any issues you have with games you already own (if that applies) before going forward. Sounds to me like the issue is your computer.
ARK is early access, yes, but if you meet the minimum specs for most all games, then they should run on your computer.
I have a high-end pc the issue wasn't from my side. my spces even exceed the recommanded for this game (not boasting i'm just saying the truth)
Make sure you know your hardware, and the games' requirements to ensure it will run, also look at reviews, either on Steam or elsewhere, and watch Youtube gameplays, before you make a purchase.
Device drivers other than GPU may need updating. It really is not as simple as saying I have a beast of a PC with hardware, as there are other factors.
Aha i see, i'll keep that in mind when i decide making any future purchase. thanks.
If the game will launch from Steam ok, and you can get to the intro video or menu of that game, then each game has its own fourm where you can seek help. That way, your only playtime is short bits of troubleshooting issues you may have with that game, and therefore you don't get too close to the 2 hour mark before you actually get to play it.
We see people claim that much of their 2 hours is "fixing" the game, but these actions of getting help should be taken before reaching that 2 hour mark.
That is my concern here, in trying to help you, is that if you have an issue there that can be resolved, that will help you in the future where you may want to refund a game because you are having problems with it.
The logic being, this hopefully will help prevent you from perhaps losing your ability to refund if Valve ever decides to stop you from getting them because you are refunding due to game issues such as we have described here.
Hope that help and good luck to you.
