Every game I start on steam have insane sutter
Since today, every single game I try playing on steam has insane sutter every 10sec or so the game becomes choppy as hell for like 3-4sec.

If I go play overwatch from the battle.net launcher, everything is smooth as butter. But as soon it's a game launched from steam, bam sutter.

wtf.. I have no clue what to do.

Post screenshots of all of your installed programs, please.

How is the heat in the computer ?

What is the computer, desktop, laptop, etc ? You gave us no information on it here.

Operating system ?

Computer specs such as GPU, CPU, RAM, etc ?

Examples of Steam games that are "choppy" ?

And your Windows is either 32 or 64 bit. Simply saying Windows 10 is an incomplete answer as to your operating system. Thanks.

Information not provided are information I thought were irrelevant.

My system has been working fine and healthy for months if not years. Today the games launched from steam have been having this specific problem. I figured the issue MUST be coming from steam itself, a patch they did or something, this is why I posted the issue on the steam forum.

Ok now I have been monitoring my system with MSI Afterburner while steam games are opened and GPU Usage is staying in the 3-8% range. I have seen an issue like this before, where it was recommanded to put the "Power management mode" : "Prefer maximum performance" in the nvidia drivers. But thing is it is already set that way. I have tried putting back adaptive mode instead but, still no change.

When I start a non-steam game. GPU Usage goes to 100% right away, no probs

So you just ignored my request because you thought it was "irrelevant". Verywell, should I just also ignore trying to help you here if I all of a sudden consider your thread also "irrelevant" ?

Going to ask one more time. If you don't provide the information asked about please, then I may not be able to help you and someone else maybe can.

People smoke and get along fine for years then one day they get lung cancer. You seem to already be making the assumption that just because there was not a problem before with the same software on your computer, that this means there is not a problem now.

Software and operating systems update. Things change. I cannot say a program is causing , but I would still like to see what was requested of you, please.

windows 10 is 64bits

It seems like the stuttering comes every 26seconds, last for about 4-5seconds, same delays in two different games

The Giving one I'm not sure what you mean by screenshot of installed programs do you mean the steam game library or the windows program?

Programs that you have installed on your computer. From control panel or programs view, as I don't know as I don't have Windows 10.

The view as if you were going to uninstall a program, please. Expand all headers and lists so we can see them all.

Also, a shot of your msconfig in startup and services would be nice. Windows start then type in msconfig, run the result, and expand all lists and views. Not sure it is the same in Windows 10, so Google please if you are not understanding that.

I have found a game launched from steam that doesn't have the problem : Killing floor 2.

It seems like the problem might not be related to steam.

Two games work properly, Overwatch and Killing floor 2.
A bunch of games I have tested that DO stutter are games that are way less demanding, exemples : Rogue Stormer, Castlestorm, Final Exam

Also, post the exact motherboard you have, or a link to it if your computer is custom built.

Or, the exact model and model number if it is prebuilt, please.
