Gamestop Steam Wallet 20%

So can anyone clear up that ambiguous ad we got for Gamestop today? It made some 20% claim but didn't state enough. Upon visiting Gamestop's site, there is no mention of this Steam deal, only that they now carry Steam Wallet gift cards. If this means that my Steam Wallet gift cards from Gamestop will be giving me a 20% higher return, I'd love to know, but there's not enough information. Anyone have this figured out?

Yea I would personally rather give my money directly to Steam, and not support console gaming. Tired of all my stupid console friends telling me I should get a PS4 and I'm thinking to myself "why would I downgrade"?

retailers do this. they take a small hit on the profits by trying to gain an increase of total purchases. doesnt always work out for them, but for us it does!

just saw the ad after i logged on to the client. so steam has made some type of deal with them, i guess.

Wow this truly pisses me off. Traded in a bunch of games a week and a half ago and was told trade in credit couldn't be used for steam or any other gift cards.

So I'm still confused about this. I got a steam gift card for 50$ from Gamestop and thought that this extra 20% thing would make it 60, but there was nothing about that when adding the money. Really ambiguously worded.

It's saying any games traded in to Gamestop are worth 20% more trade in value when traded towards Steam Cards.

nah, how about you trade in all your old games so gamestop can pawn them off for higher, for each game they will give you 20% more, but thats not cash thats for the steam card, but steam cards are at least 20 dollars, so you'll be getting rid of a bunch of games, we'll be making 300 dollars, and u get a steam card with more hassle, more complications, and... GameStop.

Exactly why they don't make it simpler :P
