Add non-steam games to library
I know this may sound stupid, but can you add a Windows 10 game like Forza Horizon 3 to your game library or not. When i go to add non steam games, my Windows 10 games never show up and im not sure why.

Yea sure! I had to search like 2 hours on the internet to figure it out, but what i did was install a program called UWPHook. The url is https://github.com/BrianLima/UWPHook/releases . The dude that made it said that steam cant detect windows game files or somwthing becasue their UWP files, whatever that means. I downloaded the Release.zip file and opened it up. what you do is

Open "Release" > Open "UWPHook "

When the window pops up, click "Extract all files"

then another file will open up, and then you click "UWPHook" again

a window will pop up and say "dont run" or something, but just click "more info" and click run anyway.

Then you click the little load icon at the top right of the app and a bunch of files will show up.

Check the boxes on which windows game you want on steam, and then click "Export selected apps to steam".

After that restart steam and it should be in your library. and then you can close out the app.
Thats what i did and it worked, if you're unsure about it, theres instructions on the page on how to do it also. So yea hope that helps.

Ya, MS wasnts to keep UWP and Win32 seperate as they feel Win32 isn't as secure. Due to this, Windows will not allow native interation between the two types so a Win32 program can't launch a UWP program for "security" reasons.

Oh ok, i didn't know that.

Why would anyone think you are lying.
One can do that manually too....if they have the nerv to edit the path of the games to the correct folders.

I would add horizon 3 to steam too as a non steam game.....if it would make any sense to do that....just for starting the game i personally dont need that.

Yow may have to do some digging to find the app/launcher. Ex. if i want to put Rainbow 6 Siege cause I have a hard copy, you have to find the Rainbow 6 Siege folder and find the app/launcher and add it in.
Hope it helped.

Windows 10 Store apps don't have ,exe's. They're UWP not win32.

My R6S was downloaded from UPlay not from windows stores. I had a physical copy with 4 discs in it.
