Steam Store and Community Pages Loading In Basic HTML
I reinstalled Steam yesterday, and now whenever I try accessing the store or community, it loads in basic HTML; example here https://imgur.com/a/NePES

If anyone knows how to fix this issue, please inform me!

Check the date on your computer. The CSS couldnt be loaded, maybe due to SSL errors

Steam > Settings > Web Browser, delete cache and cookies. Restart Steam. Try that.

I tried that but it is still in the same format.
Its your internet connection blocking some of the content. So try a different network.

Any answer you hear about clearing browser cache, htmlcache in %loadappdata% results, etc its all a lie. I dont know why people want to propagate lie when it doesn't benefit them in any way.

It's not a lie just because it may not help in some cases. It's just sometimes what we suggest first. Also, this was last posted in back in September, in case you were unaware.

I know that this is a super old post, but I still appreciate it. Ever since I started using a VPN it has been working. About the people talking about clearing cache and stuff, they weren't really lying; more of they were spreading around what they had heard. Thanks.

Just in case someone sees this and is looking for a solution try the following:

1. Win + R to open Run
2. Type in %appdata%
3. Go back a folder to AppData from AppData/Roaming
4. Go to AppData/Local and find the Steam folder
5. Delete the 'htmlcache' folder and restart Steam

This thread was quite old before the recent post, so we're locking it to prevent confusion.
