Are there any games on Steam that I don't have to download on my computer?

Are they any games on Steam that don't need to be downloaded? I have a windows vista which is longer compatible with many games and I am waiting to buy a new pc. In the meantime, I want to know if there are games I can just play on the steam cloud if there is one; or if there are some games that don't need to be downloaded at all in order to play. Any suggestions please?

there's no such thing. what you're asking for is like browser based games and flash games and all that (and I don't recommend using flash or java to play because many exploits leave your computer vulnerable)

There are some broswer games that still require some sort of install, though.

Steam itself is a client, it's main purpose is to download your games, but beyond the other features like chat and what not, it does not have any other way to game.

Actually there were a few browser games that used steam as a gateway but they are likely abandoned now by the devs.

Theres a few sites that allow you to play older DOS games from your browser, [ https://classicreload.com ] being one of them. Not steam as such but they may be of interest to you.
