Broken abandoned game refund
I've sent in a ticket for a refund twice and both were denied. I have 27 mins listed for the game all of which was a black screen as I spent hours troubleshooting it. People have messaged the Devs and the Publisher with no response. There is also no help in the games forums showing the game has been abandoned. I did purchase the game more than 2 weeks ago but I didn't get around to the game during that time. Although, the message says it doesn't "typically" as in there are exceptions which this should be one of them but I don't know if my ticket is getting to a person or if it's being auto denied by the system since Steam isn't making it easy to send emails.

If you created a ticket and it was declined then that's the end of it

You bought the game more than 2 weeks ago. As such you are no longer eligible for a refund

That's the risk you take with EA games. The refund policy is clear.

The game is not Early Access

There basically are no exceptions these days. The rules are set, and the system is automated. If they were to allow refunds for games purchased 3 weeks ago, then that's simply what they would set it to for auto refunds.

When he said abandoned I just assumed.

It shouldn't matter how long ago I bought it. The game does not work so services have not been rendered. If services have not been rendered, then Steam needs to refund me for a product that can not be used. If the game is a big problem, then they need to delist it until it gets fixed. At the very least is there a way to contact support about removing games from the store front?

It works for the majority of people so the game isn't outright broken. Might as well fix it as you're stuck with it and the issue is on your end.

It does matter. Return policies don't have infinite timeframes. Do you think if you tried to return a Tv 3 years later saying "I just opened the box yesterday and it doesn't work! I want a refund". How far do you think that will fly

Do not confuse "Does not work for me" with "Does not work for everyone"

Apparently the OP thinks 'abandoned' means "A game that was released over a year ago that doesn't work on my system and I'm not getting immediate support for' means "abandoned"

There’s a report button on the store page

Sure, why don't I try to return something from 10 years ago while I'm at it if we're going with asinine analogies. A month ago is not unreasonable, especially when I got it during a Steam sale and I didn't think I needed to test the game to make sure it'd work.

Before this, there was a general "no refunds" policy anyway. At least we have this. You are basically saying that you should be able to buy a product, hold on to it forever, and then just ask for a refund for it one day, according to this statement.

Does that sound like a way you would be able to run your business and make a profit and stay viable to your customers, as well as stay competetive in the market you were in ?

No, it does not does it ?

You clicked "I agree" to this upon purchase of that product......

http://store.steampowered.com/subscriber_agreement/

which includes a link to that very refund policy that explains that you get 2 hours and 2 weeks. Your AGREED to that when you bought that game. So yes, services were rendered upon sales of the product to you, as AGREED upon on that very sale purchase date.

You like to make assumptions and you know what they say when you assume. I followed the forums for weeks. Had I just thought "oops game doesn't work, better get a refund right away" I wouldn't have this issue but my patience seems to have led to my predicament. Though you can use some tempering.
Players in the last 2 weeks: 2,209 ± 2,498

games obviously working, ergo the product was delivered. operation of your machine is your responsibility beyond that. You are not entitled to a refund.

And what game are you looking at?
