Using a ps2 controller on steam?
So I was using a ps4 controller with no problem but at home its used on the ps4 in our home alot also. I bought a ps2 to usb adapter because sony tried to make sure ps4 users have to buy their 60$ controllers and not any cheaper off brand controllers. Anyways, I was going to use the ps2 to usb adapter on steam. How do I do this? I set it up in the general controller setting and set the buttons but nothing happens. Has anyone else ever used a ps2 controller? Should I set it as an xbox controller? Right now I'm trying to play Kingdoms of Amalur on steam.

PS2 isn't listed but...

But it still doesn't seem to work for me.
I haven't tried the ps2 controller yet but I know with the ps3 controller you needed drivers and 3rd party program to get it working correctly (for me at least).

If you liked the ps4 controller and it worked you might just want to invest in another one.

If someone still having trouble with this, try it:

You just need a PS2 controller with an USB adapter. Follow these simple instructions and voilá!
I dunno if it work for every game. Supposedly yes. It's working for me. (Windows 10) :steamhappy:
