Steam Directory Changing and Delete Local Content

Hello to all ! So guys i need some help ! I need to change my steam directory to my second HDD because this HDD is broken . So my question is how to change steam directory without deleting any game ? For example i wanna copy my folder from this disc and paste it on other ... How to change the Steam Directory without deleting any game while they are installed . Another question - If i delete all my games and delete steam ... when i install it on second HDD and logg in with my profile and for example open CSGO .. My items will be deleted or what ? Will i lose my items or my rank or i ll lose only my settings . Because now i had a problem with changing the steam with installed games on my second HDD (Hard Disc Drive) !

Copy, or move, the SteamApps sub folder to another drive.

But i want to move all my steam files cuz i ll delete all files from this HDD

So you got a broken harddrive but you can still copy files from it?

First off, you might want to run http://www.gamesave-manager.com/ to make backups of all your saves just in case.

The Steamapps folder has all your games, the userdata folder also has some local cloud saves.
EXIT steam and Copy/move those folders to your desktop temporarily.

Leave everything else behind. You don't need to and should not copy anything else.
Uninstall Steam. (with the folders safely saved on your desktop)
Reinstall Steam and exit it and then copy those folders back in.

And no, your CSGO items are not stored locally.

Yes my HDD is with many broken sectors .. I just want to save my experience in games and to save my games if there's a way to save 'em .

If you manage to copy those folders and do all that then you should really verify them afterwards.

Most of your savefiles should be on C users documents, but run that backup anyway and put them on dropbox or something.

Maybe you need to try the copy folder a coupple of times if the drive is weird, maybe it won't work.

Worst case you can always download your games again.

Still, do not run steam from that drive ever again. reinstall Steam.
