the only way to delete it through the library is through steam support, and while they can recover if u forget u did it u have to rebuy the game.

Uninstall the game? Most games will have the saves backed up somewhere.

You own the game on your account once you buy it.

You can use this http://www.gamesave-manager.com/ to do it yourself.

Nope. You can do that manually, you don't even need to contact with a support now at least. So what if I have bought the different version of the same game and I don't want 2 same games in my library, can I delete it and keep my progress?

Bro I'm not talking about uninstalling and yet even after you uninstall a game it will still be there in your library.

Also I'm not talking about "game save" by "progress." I'm talking about Steam Achievements which has nothing to do with "game save."

no... you can't do it from the library window, are you talking about hiding a game? that just goes to a new list, that's not removing it.

Yes, you can do it, from the library or not but you can do it and remove a game from your library. Removing a game from the library, would be hiding or not, I don't know. Which list?

Edit: Hmm, I checked it, it says Steam Support but the site I'm checking shows the steps of how to do that, I didn't read it actually. So you might be right. I'm not sure.

You won't get 2 versions of the same exact game in your library.

yes you can.
for example, I have both versions of grand theft auto san andreas, and they both appear as their own thing. (Grand Theft Auto San Andreas) because they are for different regions.

If you mean Football Manager, "Football Manager Touch" is not the same game as "Football Manager 2018". Its a different game with its own Steam entry.

Did do buy some bundle outside of Steam that maybe gave you both titles at once?

What I meant was, the same game appid can not be in your library 2x.

As said above, you can remove games from your library, but the license is still tied to the account and this can be reversed. It's just an advanced hide feature after many complained and asked for the ability to do this.

No, you cannot have two of the same games on an account, as the good users above said.

simple answer ignoring the semantics. No, it does not remove the progress and achievements on your profile. No you do not need to repurchase the game as it can be undeleted. Repurchasing the game will not reset or remove your progress listed on the profile either.

I think I've got them that's why I changed it or I have afraid it'll be happened. So what if I have install a game from the disc drive that I have it in the library already?

Can you show us the screenshot of your library which we can see two versions of the Grand Theft Auto San Andreas that you have?

Nope. If I was meaning that I would state about it. What I was mean by 2 same games is different versions, like the normal one and the one with bonuses like the Collector's Edition, Limited Edition but not the Game of the Year Edition. You buy it in the Steam and there are already 2 different versions of it.
